Hi all,

Had lovely little Aygo for a couple of months and am loving it...reminds me of when the original Mini came out (yes Ii am that old!)...great fun and economy!

Anyway my question is: there is a very light but annoying occasional rattle coming from the drivers door and I would like to check inside to see if there is something loose to be taped up. Apart from the single visible screw near the handle ,I can not see any way to unfix the door trim.

Must be simple enough but I dont want to force anything.

Can anyone help, or indeed has anyone had the light "tappy rattle " that I referred to and managed to fix it?

Thanks for any help,

Johnan

mines has a rattle on the drivers side, just like where the wing mirror sits. havent dont anything about it thou just thought id be one of the draw backs to buying a cheap car

Most rattles are simple to fix if you can get at them.Even the most expensive car will rattle if a cable tie comes adrift or a clip is missing.

I'd like to fix it if I can.

Don't quote me on it but its probably going to be those white clippy type plugs so just pully heavy enough at the edges might make it come off as I remember with my mates megane this was the case. However I haven't personally done it myself on my Aygo.

I remember prising the trim off an Escort once and broke some of the clips, so dont want to do that again.

Hence reluctance to use too much force without knowing what is holding the trim on.

I haven't done this myself, but when you look at the AIM for the rear Speakers,

there's apicture of how to remove the cards on the rear doors of a 5dr:

You have to remove the one visible screw and the second screw under the

silver door handle trim, which should pull off quite easily from what I hear.

The rest is all "poppy-thingies". I suspect the front door is very similar to

the rear, so you should just be able to pop it of after removing those two screws...

I think the exclamation marks warn for two hooks or so gripping behind the metal of the door...

Thanks a lot for the info.

Will have a go when (if) the wind drops!
