Fifth Gear Fixed

Hi all,

Got the car back today after the fifth gear started popping out whilst driving. Thought it would be of interest to all. The gearbox didn't have to come out, there is apparently a access panel for the fifth gear on the gearbox where you can pull the gears out from.

You have to look carefully at the images to see the wear but its there alright. When the two cogs are together the gears simply slide apart and the gear pops out.

Main thing is its all fixed now, juts got the MOT to do now. Cars eh!

Do you get any warranty on the Toyota Avensis Gearboxes? - it appears a lot of people have complained so far.
