hey, its my aygo's 2nd (major service) the 1st one cost 150.00 quid and this one is apparently gonna cost me 232.50 with brake fluid change (recommended every 2 yrs) and 182.60 without!

wondering if i am being charged for the price of a celica because my mum has one and im always receiving her letters from toyota with my name on them! hmmmmmmmmmmm :ffs:

Hi I would pay the £182.60 then just buy my own brake fluid, nearly £50 is abit much for brake fluid i reckon.

My first service is due in April and, when I bought the car last April, I was told the first service would cost about £50.00 - courtesy car included if booked in advance

Call a few dealers - they don't all charge the same. Get a brake fluid check too to see if needs changing before agreeing to it being done.

£50 seems a bit low to me for a first service - labour charge would be more than that.

Fifty quid to change the brake fluid??????

Robbers !

( I'll do it for 45 )

I've also booked in my Aygo for it's 20k service, next week with the main Toyota dealer here. Quoted just £145.00 fully inclusive ( inc v.a.t)! Looks like it's still beneficial to live up North...lol :D

I would be wary about doing brake fluid yourself if you are not familiar with the procedure.

I know you have to bleed the lines a certain way and make sure when you refill there are no airlocks in the system. Braking performance will not be good if it is not done correctly.

£50 seems OK. I know it is ~£60 for my Golf.

That would have been the sales person, yes? They always feed you nonsense when selling cars

I got a quote from Lookers Rayleigh & Romford for a 2nd service on my 2005 Yaris and they quoted £268!!

Needless to say I couldnt afford that & I went to a place called Westfield Motors in Rayleigh who are a Toyota & Lexus specialist and they did it for £100 approx. They arent approved by Toyota but I did my research before going with them & have not had any problems with the car.

I know you are in Colchester, which is a bit far out - I live in Grays so Rayleigh is a bit of a trek for me too!

My 20K service is due in a month or so I would be interested to know what others have paid.

20 000 mile service carried out 30 November by TNS St Ives, Cambs.

Pleased with the service, they covered seat and mats to protect. Didn't move my seat or retune the radio !

They cleaned it nicely, stamped the book without smudging ink everywhere and wrote the date and mileage in a legible manner. My car was parked in a wide space when I collected it and I was supplied with free coffee. Everyone I dealt with seemed friendly and helpful.

Can't complain about anything - top service.

Price was £147.33.

Hi All

picked up my Aygo black last nite.. well pleased.

Hodgsons Gateshead offered me a three year service plan quote £408.

This seems pretty good based upon prices listed in here.

Any thoughts?

Doing it this way is still cheaper than paying for each service but be aware that when buying new in the UK you can specify a service plan - 2 products are currently available and are 3 years or 30 000 miles at £279 and 5 years or 50 000 miles at £529. These are shown on Toyotas site.

My guess is that you have struck a good deal on the car so they won't do it for these prices as they would argue that these prices are only if you are paying full whack for the car. Might be worth a bit of a haggle though.

Cheers for that - will look into those prices.. might get free mats eventually.. :)

Had this as one of my "wants" when I bought the car. Couldn't get much of a reduction on the car itself, tried a few other dealers local and they were all similar, could get it cheaper only if I took out their finance packages! . But i did manage to get a deal whereby the dealer (WKB Waterlooville) is paying for the first 2 services, which looking at the previous posts, will come to about £380, so am treating that as my "discount". Probably won't have too many miles on it judging by the fact there are only 1200 miles on it now, and it is 5 months old already. Roll on Summer.
