Hi,

Ive recently bought a Yaris but the Battery on it is shot.

If I change it myself are there any issues that will arise from the removal - ie is there an immobiliser chip in the key that will lose sync or will the stereo need a code?

Thanks

Paul

Well i had my Battery disconnected for an hour or so tonight with no issues on reconnecting.....although i'd always recommend winding down the driver's window just in case the central locking automatically kickes in and locks you out when you reconnect (some cars do that) lol !

When i disconnected my Battery there was a series of beeps.. i thought the alarm was gonna go off but it never did..

As far as i know all you need to do is reset the clock....

You'll be fine. When I disconnected the Battery I had loud beeps which stopped after about 5 seconds. When I locked the car the first time after replacing the Battery I got the beeps again. But everything is back to normal after that.
