im after a renewal and im thinking of getting the koni inserts does anyone know if the standard shocks on the car are the kyb ones??

also can anyone recomend some ?? im currently using -40mm pi springs on standard shocks

Yes the standard struts are KYB and it's faily easy to modify the casing to take the Koni insert - instructions come with the inserts. The Koni's are designed to be used with standard height suspension not with a lowered setup. I used them with -30mm springs for only about 18 months before they were shot - I think mainly due to the extra weight of the 4A-GZE engine in my Corolla. I've now got custom modified Koni inserts to take the extra weight and I've also had them shortened to allow for 20mm-30mm lowering.

hmm ic so if i was to renew my system uprated to take my lowered springs what would you recomend?
