I have a 2002 Avensis 1.8 GS and live in Somerset and am unable to receive normal BBC transmissions satisfactorally. The Toyota dealers have replaced the aerial and radio but to no avail. I requested that a different radio to the standard be tried but advised no alternative available. Reception does not appear to be a problem on other cars, only mine!

Has anybody else had this problem and is there any suggestions.

My reception is rubbish too. 1.8vvti 2001 gs. The radio cannot fund any stations on search mode and i have interference all the time. I just put up with it as i'm only in the car for 40 minutes max per day and use cd's more than radio.

I have a 2001 VVTi and i bought one of those FM transmitters for my iPod and the radio picks it up okay but it's subject to a lot of interference at times.

I thought it was just the transmitter but I am guessing it could be the radio now...
