First Mot .

Last week i booked my RAV4 in for her first MOT, 3 years is up on 26th of the month, i also asked the dealer to look at the headlamps as they had a small amount of condensation (misting ) collecting around the top edges, as is always the case the day you take it in the condensation dries up ;) ! but as a wise old dog  , i took a few photos of the headlamps (with condensation) and presented them to the service manager, he was happy with that and two new headlamp were fitted and the MOT tested carried out and passed :) .

Although i'm an ex-mot tester i see they now have computer printed certificates that are linked with the DVLA to stop fraud ... which must be a good thing.

The only thing that made me wince a bit was the MOT test is now £50.00  .

Hi Bob

I suppose £50 isn't bad if you got 2 new headlamps!

The MOT computers are also networked so that If you fail you can't take it around the corner to see if it will pass. The failure is logged on every computer in the country.

Regards

Used the new online DVLA to get my Tax disc done... only if you have the new type MOT Cert...Very quick no need to queue behind some old bid getting there pension....:huh:

But the £107 for six months is a bit steep......especially as its 190g Co2 :crybaby::crybaby: Does better miles to the gallon than the wifes 1.6 car....
