Sorry Guys Its A Tyre Question!

I need two new tyres on the front. At the moment they are 195/55R16's, basically is alright to run slightly wider on the front? It seems a lot cheaper to get 205's than 195's. I know some people run 205's all around.

205/50/16 should fit ok on the cts. If you are only buying 2 then you might want to move your current rear wheels to the front and put the 205s on the back.

EDIT: Just noticed you were asking about 205/55/16s... The 205/50s are a closer fit to the original wheel and seem to be more popular with people over the 205/55s

Definately put the good tyres on the back.

I had a crash in my Celica about 6 years ago when I put Goodyear Eagle F1s on the front and still had Falcons on the back. In wet weather, the car was uncontrollable as the back end just kept slipping. With a front wheel drive car, this can't be controlled, like a rear wheel car.

It's easier to control understeer than oversteer.
