Hi Guys,

Been away for a while busy busy but back now.

I have just yesterday put on a set of Toyo Proxes T1-R's and I know they arent bedded in yet but so far they seem to be a really good buy.

I was running a set of Michelin Pilot Premacy shoes, and so far the Toyo's are noticibly different.

The turn in isnt as sharp as on the Michelins, but the grip around sharp and even flowing corners is much better. Noise is a lot less with the jap tyres too. As for wear, well ill tell you in 9k more miles. Ill take it out at the weekend and give them a good trial to see what theyre like broken in a bit.

Just out of interest, what srt of miles are we all getting from a set of rubbers, i had to change mine to the Proxes after 9500 miles  is this good or bad???

Changed my tyres last week.

This is my 2nd TSport and I've had original Bridgestone Turanzas, which were very bad, original Michelins on the faclift model, which were just bad. I put Toyo T1s's on the first car (205x50x16) which were good and have just put Goodyear F1 gsd3's on the facelift (205x50x16) which are great.

£85 a corner, fitted, valves and balanced from local independant tyre place.

I run Goodyear F1s on my MX5 as well and will not see past them. Stick like glue.

My company got me a TTE Compressor as my company car as I don't think they really knew what it was and were supprised I wanted to "downgrade" from my Avensis Diesel! Anyway, the standard fit Pirelli P Zero Neros needed replacing on the front after 8500 miles and had to have new pads and disks on the front after 9000 miles. Not cheep and they are not great if it is cold but the Pirelli's stick like the proverbial.

In regards to the best tyre?

Are the ones quoted above

195/55

or

205/50

If not which are the best 205/50 to put on our cts?

Cheers!

I've been running Falken FK 451's on the car for the last 10,000 miles, compared to the standard fitment Michelin's they are much better particularly in the wet, the downside though is 10,000 miles and they are completely worn on the front getting some FK 452's fitted tomorrow...

They are a pretty good price here Camskill and I opted for 205/50 16's

I need some tyres too. Only fronts, so don't want to switch to 205/50's yet. A major shortage of toyo's in my area at the mo!!! One make that keeps coming up are the dunlops, anyone know if they are any good?

Can you get Eagle F1s in 195/55?

Choices in the standard size seem a bit limited. :(

Vredestein Sportrac 3s should be a good bet.

Have looked on mytyres.co.uk. They have toyos @ £56 and a fitting center near me @ £6 so £62 per tyre is pretty damn good! Anyone had experiance with this way of doing it?

I've bought tyres online & had a mobile unit fit them, couldn't fault the service & cost.

Event tyres i think they were.

Will go down the same route when i replace all four corners on the cts.

At work we are a fitting centre for Mytyres, we find that they always get the tyres a costomer orders delivered to us in plenty of time for their costomers fitting date, they also give us a call to make sure we have received them. They give us the costomers details so that if we so wish.. we can call them up to notify them that the tyres are here and for them to pop in for fitting at their convenience.

As far as problems go, you shouldn't have any with MYTYRES, it is the fitting centre of your choice that is the potential place for any problems to arise.
