Hiya Poeple..........

Can any of you give me some idea what this strange noise may be?

I have a friction/rubbing/grinding noise coming fron the o/s front wheel!

the noise is intermittent, but seems to happen more when steering to the left,

it is speed related, and happens when braking or not.

any suggestions?

Have Fun and Thanx

Have you put new pads on as i put some EBC ones on and sometimes they would make a noise until i refitted them and it stopped

Look at the "casing of protection" of the "rotor brake" ...

Sometimes it touch the rotor...

Sorry for my poor "explication" ...

Hiya

Ok, i will have a look at the rust problem and the casing of the rotor thingy! i know what you mean

And dont worry about your english mate, its sooooo much better than my French :D

I haven't fitted new pads but i was wondering if they need replacing or possibly is it the wheel bearing!

thanx so far.

hi

it might be your brake pads that need changing... mine was making a grinding noise as well because the brake pads were worn right down... i'd get them checked out!!

After having my front discs and pads replaced mine started doing it when turning right -going round roundabouts was good. It was just the disc guard rubbing on the back face of the disc, i managed to push it away from the disc enough by just getting my hands between the spokes of the wheel and slightly bending it away.

Most probably disc related.. it seems quite common... but it could also be a wheel bearing or a cv joint.. if its either of these, you don't really want to drive the car too much if at all. check it asap.

Hey!

I have sorted it.........I think

I believe it was the disc guard contacting the rear of the disc,

as suggested i moved it slightly away and so far so good,

all day today it has been beautifully quiet

Thanx people..........Have Fun :D
