Remote Locking

Hi, have a Gen 6 import. Have just lost the orginal key (stolen with coat) with the remote locking buttons on it.

Local Toyota say they can supply new key (£32) but cannot program as the frequency on imports is different to UK models. Contacted local auto electrical w/shop who I know have done Mazda keys, they say can't get the keys and have the same frequency problem. Doe's anyone know where I can get the reprogramming done

(Notts area) or is the solution a new alarm with remote locking facility?

Gen 6 alarms have many problems and as I understand it, it comes down to buying a new alarm system. The company that made some the the gen 6's alarms don't exist anymore and hence reprogramming is near impossible UK or not! All the Mr T dealers I've been to tell me that the key fob cannot be ordered or programmed to your car.

There were a couple of alarm types though, so you may be lucky.
