New Yaris

I hope to call in at a dealer next week to try and maybe order a new D-4D Zinc manual car.

Any ideas on how to knock the price down? I will have to part exchange. Live in north London.

What is the CD/radio like?

keep in mind the cost to change - the dealer will probably offer you a lot more for your car than it's worth but not do anything on the Yaris - the thing to look at is how much it's going to cost you in difference not how much you are getting Yaris for or how much you are getting p/x.

Be prepared to deal on the day you visit - they want the sale there and then !

Might be worth a trip out into Herts (Hills of Bishops Stortford are good) as you will undoubtly come across the London rip off culture with London dealers.

Good luck.

Your Yaris will be worth far more selling it privatly i've found in the past 2 cars i've bought from a dealer i've been able to bargain much more when i wasn't part ex'ing a car.

My yaris for example:

Part ex = £4,645

Private good = £5,015

Toyota would put it on there forecourt for = £5,935

from : parkers.co.uk

Also be prepared to walk away, don't be to excited about getting it if the sales guy senses that he won't budge on the price, also if your getting finance don't always take the first offer i did managed to get the monthly payments down about £30 a month on HPI without effecting the price i'd arranged, i really gave the sales guy a hard time that day.

car to p/x is a Renault, and would not be able to go through selling privately.

Went to local dealer on Sat,said he would see what condition my car was in and then have to phone Renault to value it.

Would only drop £350 pounds plus the p/x from the RRP for the Zinc.D-4D, 5 door. manual .

Will try elswhere in week.

anyone think it I could get more off?
