Hi All

New to this site, found reading the information posted very useful. (Already ordered new wipers front and back as a result of recommendations)

Mr T is delivering my new Aygo Black on Monday, so should pick up on Tuesday :yahoo: . Looking forward to posting my own feedback.

Reading your comments has done nothing but increase my excitment, won't be sad to see the back of my Punto.

One quick question about supaguard, read one comment that you should never get supaguard, too late I'm afraid, asked for it! Any reason why? Is it just a waste of money, or does simply washing your car (guess I'll be doing a lot of that soon) wash what ever it is off? Anyone else had it done and does it make a difference other than to the saleman's commission.

On a note about the dealer, Hogdgsons Gateshead, very good, no pressure, keep you well informed of progress etc.

Hello & Welcome to the Club. Good Luck with the Aygo. My understanding is that Supaguard is a con - a total waste of money and if you type "Supaguard con" into Google you will find entries which indicate that it may be washed off. If it is, as you say, too late, you'll just have to count your losses and just enjoy the Aygo.

If you got it free no harm done - if you paid for it live and learn I'm afraid !

I got it - Hodgsons Newcastle. You get a flash bag full of cleaning goodies - I would say about £30 worth. As the thing costs £200, that leaves £170 for the application. Seems a complete waste of money in my view - the car still gets just as dirty and it doesn't clean any better. Water beads no better than any other car I have - I got a very big discount on the car so I am regarding it as pay back time!

I saw the sales board on my visit to the dealer. Each salesman was listed and alongside the order were columns for Supaguard and Gap insurance. Both are good earners for the dealership. Buy a bottle of Autoglym and you will get the same effect for 10% of the price and the bottle will last you for years.

i have this on my Aygo too. My mum has it on her Yaris 3 years old now an its only when the car gets older do you realise that the colour stays on compared to other 3 year old black yaris's. i think its worth it in my opinion.

That may be the case when comparing to a car that has never been waxed by its owner - I prefer to do my owm waxing.
