Hi,

ive got a corolla with the standard T-Spirit alloys, what would be the widest tyres i could fit on them.

Standard tyres are 195/60/15, would 205/60/15 or 205/55/15 be ok?

Thanks

205/55x15 will keep the same rolling radius (well.. as close as you will get).. and will be the better choice

cheers for the reply,

wont the 55 profile be a bit small compared to the 60 profile or wont you notice it that much?

cheers

my preference in order:

1. Eagle F1's

2. Michelin Pilot Sports

3. Continental Sport Contact

The Toyo tyre is supposed to be very grippy (in the dry) but I have heard from a number of different people that its not too hot in the wet or lasts long.

Im riding Michelin Pilot Exalto - they're super!

Impressive grip even on a wet road.

I can't remember if they're called anything specific like you mention "2 PE2"

I've Toyo proxes T1-R 195/55 R16 on my Corolla:

Love them in the dry. They were a revelation compared to old Dunlops. Very re-assuring.

Hate them in the snow.

In the wet I've been really impressed.

They are pretty stiff side walled, and occasionally on roads round here with high frequency rough surfaces I seem to get a strange resonance occuring.
