Go postal on em G79! I'd tell them that as one of the largest motor manufacturers in the world you don't accept a pathetic excuse as "not being prepared for the demand" and that you're going to speak to Toyota UK HQ about getting the £500 deposit back so you can take your business elsewhere.

I didn't know I could do that... but thank you MiniMarc.. sounds like a good idea to me. I'll let you know how I get on... don't suppose you have a phone number do you?

I'm not saying they'll agree to it because after all a deposit is there for a reason - but if you complain enough they may be able to bump your car to the top so you get it sooner.

 Nice car Kian, it looks good in the dark grey. Are you sure it's not mine??? Mind you I hate automatics and I don't see the point of the paddle bits, a bit like the bmw gearbox when you can change from auto into sports maybe? I HOPE to get my car on the 7th, maybe I'll pop in there at the weekend and take a peek in the compound, perhaps it's hiding in there. My golf is sulking and I'm driving him very carefully otherwise if we have an accident I may have to keep him. My number plate has my initials on the end after the RK07 X**, perhaps the ladies get the better numbers!! Anticipation makes the heart grow stronger they say,I JUST WANT MY CAR!

Just a quick update, have decided to try and get my £500 deposit back and currently looking at the Seat Leon FR unless of course Toyota can offer me a real incentive to stay with them. I will of course keep you all upto date but it looks as if I may not be posting on here for much longer.

Peace

Gav, I feel for you, I really do! I don't want to put a dampner on things, but after the talk earlier of asking for a refund I looked at the back of my order form. section 6 states (and may be different for you) The seller will endeavour to secure tdelivery of the vehicle by the estimated delivery date (if any)., but does not guarantee time of delivery and shall not be liable for any damages or claims of any kind in respect of delay in delivery.

then the next point goes on to say "(New Vehicles Only) If the seller fail to deliver the vehicle within 28 days of the estimated date of delivery stated in this agreement the purchaser may by notice in writing to the seller require delivery within 7 days of receipt of such notice. If the vheicle shall not be delivered to the purchaser within the said 7 days, the Agreement may be cancelled.

A lot of baloney if you ask me, but I guess it's only to cover themselves. Just tell your Mr. T that you NEED TO KNOW for definate as you have to book holidays from work to collect, once booked they need 24 hours notice to cancel. This might make them sit up and be more sympathetic on your part. I kept pestering my sales guy and admin, they probably got sick of me.

When you do finally get your car, you will or maybe asked (definately at Inchcape Sandhurst) to fill out a Duty of Care form and a Customer Satisfaction Form, this will be your chance to tell them where they can improve their service if any, they cannot influance you to answer in favour of themselves, in fact my sales chap said to be as honest as possible.

Berks Lady...my reg is RK07 X?? lol but the ?? are the same letter!

I know your registration, I shall flash my lights at you when I see you!

May be i should have said RK07X*@ as mine are not the same! Pity yours aren't your initials!

Feelin really low and very dissapointed about this whole thing!.... I've made my mind up.. if it's delayed again I will tell them not to bother.. and I'm going to buy a Mazda.

By the way found this http://www.prestigecubikrvicing.com/toyota...n=Google_Toyota

So use these prices to haggle your dealership service costs.. I know they are offering a pay monthly scheme (Obviously to stop you going to other dealerships for your service).. might aswell get the best price and keep it local :D

G...Not from Wolverhampton, Wednesbury actually, but moved to Oldbury, so not too far away. :D

Ordered my Auris on 7th February from dealership in Wolves. Really wanted it in black, but as you know TR model isn't available in that colour :( Silver looked great in showroom, so opted for that.

Been looking out for Auris' on the road, but haven't seen any yet. Anyone else spottted any?

Gav. Don't give up hope, the wait will be well worth it. You've waited this long, what's a couple of more days? I know it's annoying waiting around for something. Be a :toast: and be a proud Auris owner!

Kian

I wanted a black one as well, so opted for the dark grey as a good compromise, my golf is silver so no one would notice otherwise!! :) Berkslady

Right update time.... decided to go around and look at some other cars today, collect some brochures and then head to my MR T and see what the score was. Arrived, had a little banter with Dealership manager, he appoligised profusly... and offered me a courtesy car and a bottle of bubbly :D I said I would have to think about it... went away and thought long and hard about what I really wanted, I decided in the end that I did get a really good deal with the Auris, and in comparison with some of the other cars it was by far superior, although in terms or reliability well... after looking at reviews toyota it seems did not come in the top 10 this time round, so we shall wait and see. So off I went back to MR T and asked them to sort out a courtesy car for me and a free bottle of bubbly (I wonder whether I will actually get a bottle lol), so Tuesday Morning I should be driving something other than my Corolla :D The other thing he stressed was they were expecting delivery of the car between the 6th - 8th but it could take longer due to unforseen circumstances.

I'm sorry for my ranting and raving earlier but you can comprehend the frustration and dissapointment in being told, "A couple of days", "A couple of days" and then slam... "No actually it's going to be more like another week or even longer". Not only that but I wanted to drive my "07" on the 1st of march.. nothing more satisfying than being one of the first eh ;) :toast:

Kian have you asked your dealership for a list of the TTE Prices?? I'm going to ask on Tuesday when I go to pick up my courtesy car so I'll get back to you when I know... I'm hoping I get a Rav4 :D

Also anyone else thats ordered an Auris, would you possibly look into TTE prices, I think it would be great to get an idea of what different dealerships are offering and then we can all get the cheapest prices????

Ooops, I forgot to ask when I was speaking to the Servicing and Parts Manager. I will ask when I go to get the Badge replaced.

Going back on earlier conversation this picture below which G posted...

....The black arrow, in my car I don't have that fan...I just have a shelf thing! I wonder why it's not in the TR...is it just in the TSpirt T180?

Posted

Kian... a shelf thingy.... more storage??

It's definatly in the T-Spirit, not sure about the T180... to be honest though I can't see the point in having that fan there, unless it's to help with demisting the front windscreen.. any ideas??

There is no cover on the 'shelf' so wouldn't call it storage, more of a place to put your ticket for the car park barrier etc, it's not very useful for that really, it's a slippy surface. that's one thing Toyota could have done with....putting non-slip mats down in the shelves and glove box.

Posted

I've been meaning to ask, how do you stop your iPod slipping around in the Glove Box?? No non-slip mats... well thats no good at all... I'm not paying extra for those.. for sure lol. So hows the playing going, have you managed to fully work out your bluetooth and iPod integration yet??

Roll on tomorow morning... going to pick up a courtesy car.. I wonder what I shall get.. I think I'd like to drive the Rav4.. drive something a little different... we shall wait and see.

Mmmmmmm

Maybe the T180?? Notice the blacked out windows at the rear :D

G

Posted

Does the T180 come with 5 doors? Maybe its the 2.0 with the tte kit that the dealers use to tempt people to buy the T180 <shrug>

Posted

I thought maybe the same as you MiniMarc, but it's the blacked out windows that make me wonder... would the dealership get the windows tinted?? I know the Corolla SR came with tinted windows from factory... so that made me think that maybe it's the T180. As for how many doors the T180 will have.. I should imagine it will be a 3 door... but they may offer a 5 door possibly??

Does look nice though

G

You should phone up Mr T and tell him to keep the courtesy car and just to giive your engine an extra 200cc ;)

Is that an Auris T180 in the background??? Or is it an Auris with the TTE kit on it?? Looks nice, I'm definatly going to get those TTE parts :D :D

G

Hi G79 it is an Auris 1.6 T3 with all the TTE parts on it. Looks good but for your Auris i strongly suggest buying the TTE steering wheel makes all the difference!

And there's your answer. It looks like the dealer went the whole hog to show off the new TTE parts available for the Gold Ear

Just got this response from smoftah "Hi G79 it is an Auris 1.6 T3 with all the TTE parts on it. Looks good but for your Auris i strongly suggest buying the TTE steering wheel makes all the difference!"

Lol... MiniMarc.. I suppose it's worth a try.. whats the worst they can say.. hmm... "No" lmao
