Digital Clock Display

Hi

I am new to this forum (and to Yaris ownership!) so would be grateful for any help. My daughter has a 1999 Yaris, in which the LCD display on the dashboard works perfectly, except for the fact that the digital clock advances when the car is running and for a hours afterwards. Then it stops. I assume the clock runs off the car Battery so can't explain this behaviour.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you've got a knackered multi-display, at least £100 from dealers, probably about £10 from a scrapyard, just remember to call it a clock and not a multidisplay to the scrappy, otherwise he'll think he can charge you a fortune ;)

Thanks for the replies. However the display (including the clock) works perfectly, so it is not clear that changing the display will make the clock work all the time.

Still mystified as to what is going on

Might be worth a trip to Mr T to see if they can explain it?

If they say replacing something then your only back with a possible to to the scrappy.
