Hi guys fitted 4th injector and the car is good now ,air / fuel ratio meter showing good mixture and car is faster than it was gives good spread power all the way up to 6,000rpm ,Hope to take it on the dyno maybe next week or the one after ,but happy with the result

Well done chap, sounds awesome

What's the traction like? Is it going to be any good on the track?

Paul.

Excellent. All the best with that. The car is looking great now also.

Hi guys and thanks for your comments :)

The traction is not bad as the aygo has long gears , 1st is a lot of wheelspin but on a good surface you get good grip! Sorted out some air leaking problems last night in the turbo housing and now it is even better as it wasn't boosting at 5psi as turbo wasn't spinning as much as it should have! Now its really awsome for a little engine ! haven't had the time to try it for top speed but it goes to 80mph and past very easy and was still pushing as strong as it was in 2nd gear! This weekend i will take it ti the quarte mile and try it with some cars there and tell you the result!

Very happy with the car , it is still giving me 50mpg!

can i have a list of stuff you used? i want one! the turbo and fittings etc where did yuo get the ecu from? how much has it cost ... im well interested! tell me!

Yea same, id also like to know where i can get the parts. I want to do this to mine. :)

I will make you a full list of the parts used so i dont leave anything out! The piggyback ecu is not here yet my friend has to import it and he is still waiting for it!

Hi guys

i want parts list too.

sorry but i don't speak enlish :crybaby: but i have "aygo" turbo too :D

this is dyno result boost 0,4bar

AFR and EGT is good but i have small problem whit fabric ECU, sensor see 2 many petrol and show chek.

i can't use a pigiback becouse it is OBD2 ECU i can't use standalone to becouse eangin have 3cyl.

i use 4th injector and secend MAP (bost sensor) in next time we do unichip2 - propably it's good

for questions regarding the piggyback ecu you can contact : tonpower@nextgen.net.mt

I have a problem with too much heat in the boost pipe ! i urgently need to fit an intercooler which is a problem as i have aircondition on mine and there is lack of space!

you could if you were up for it, fit an intercooler under the bonnet and cut out a scoop... its a bit max power though.

i think that Lauren is right.... try to fil a glanza style hood... and tif the intercooler under it :)

A TMIC is not as effective as a FMIC is...

And like you allready said; it looks "rice"

to have a scoop on suchs a tiny bonnet...

agreed.. Besides it looks like the guy with the 107 managed it okay looking at the pics.

Except this 107 clearly doesn't have A/C and "aygo vvti" does...

right and as you see from the dyno sheets the temperiture was 5 deg C where here the temperiture at the moment is 20 deg C so a TMIC would not be so effective as in the summer it reach 38-40 deg celcius! and i would need the aircondition! even tough at the moment its not working as i tried it on today! Does any one know if it is not working cos i have the check engine on? cos its not switching on when i put the switch on!

Today i raced my friend with his prelude (2ltr 8v twin carb i think) and just beat him at the quarter mile! then he raced an escort mk4 convertible rs turbo and he beat him! So next sunday i will be looking for the escort for a race! It feels really quick and for a 1ltr engine it definetely is!

Could well be!

If the Check-Engine ligt is on the engine probably is in "Limp Home" mode,

which might disable the A/C as this IS an extra strain on the engine...

It would probably be best to check with your local dealer and have them reset your ECU.

Posted

yeah could you immagine telling them i fitted a turbo to the car! their hair would go straight up ! i can reset the check engine but it will come back on as soon as i push the car a bit hard and the lambda read rich! Hope to solve this when the piggyback arrive!

Posted

Depends on the dealer. But you COULD give them a call and ask them;

"the EC-light came on for a while and the A/C wouldn't work then, could this

be related?" And it they ask you to come in tell them "It's gone off allready"...

Or something similar... You're in a very grey area of engineering now,

as you're one of the first to do this, so there's no support in anny way.

Once reputable companies bring out Turbo-kits for

this little engine there's also going to be support...

BTW; if the Lambda gets an overly rich measurement your 4th injector

is probably putting out too much. If this is the case you're allso running

the risk of melting/fusing your catalytic converter.

i can't speak english so i don't tell you evrything but when you have turbo you must have rich mixture otherwise exhaust gas tem will be too heat and your engin end.

ori ecu do everything that may AFR=14,5-14,7 but is meanly for turbo engin.

i know the piggiback, smt-6, smt-7, gready, bluebox, unichip1 et al is not good for this engin becaus ori ECU is OBD2.

when Check-Engine ligt signal too rich mixture that all, but Check-Engine ligt blink is not good ecu switch engin emergency procedure.

buy boost and EGT guage and check this.

and do someting whit the ori MAP sensor because when this sensor see boost ECU rage.

since lat i was here i replaced the standard exhaust system for a 2" system and had to fit 2 back boxes as it was too noisy! Now with the exhaust sorted and the turbo flowing more air the engine is lean again even with the extra injector (and ecu is not here yet) so today i will be fitting a different injector 9hoping it has more fuel flow than the daewoo one) The power has gone up since i did the new exhaust system .

Once you start modding you just can't stop :D

Sounds like you will ultimately get more power with the larger exhaust, though

yes you are right paul ! but when you find that a 1ltr engine comes that fast with a turbo you couldnt stop! yesterday as every sunday i went to the quarter mile strip and raced a couple of cars! i beat a YRV 4wheel drive turbo (1.3ltr that is) and a couple of other cars B) but the best was with an old model CRX (1.6 16V) he only managed to overtake me after we passed the quarter mile :yahoo: and he was surprised when he asked me what engine i had and told him 1ltr turbo (3cyl :P ). When everything is ready i will roaling road the car to see how much BHP it has .

Do you have 60ft and 400m times and final speed? Would be very interesting to know what those are.

no not yet but the first rwyb there will be you can bet i will be there! and hope that by that time i will have the intercooler fitted! but dont expect a good 60ft (at least i think )cos the springs are too soft and the front end start jumping when you accellerate from a stand still and it gives the best on 3rd gear!
