Door Lock Problem Xli

I have a 1996 XLi. It's not alarmed. When I first bought it it had 1 key fro doors and 1 for ignition. Led me to believe ignition had been changed but I'm still not sure. The driver side door lock soon needed a little wiggle of the key to help unlock it until eventuall, now, I cannot unlock it at all. I have to open the passenger side now and climb in to lift the lock open.

The Car is due to be tested soon and I suspect this might be a fail. Can anyone help or make a suggestion?

Or can anyone help me to get the interior panel off the driver side door so that I can try to find the lock theory and fix it myself?

Also, I am finding it very difficult to find a driver side sun visor for my car? There doesn't seem to be any visors sold in motor stores at all, and any of the spare parts places don't keep these pieces from what I've found?

Is the sun visor in the XLi unique from any standard sun visors available?

Oh and one more thing. My left side tail light has a filling strip underneath which I am told is part of the tail light unit. Recently the filling strip on mine fell off. I cannot find it. It's just a thing filling strip in an L shape? Is it part of the full unit or can it be gor separately?

Thanks in advance!
