Have just been reading a thread on R4W and it seems we might be blessed with the V6 Rav later in 2007. Now whether "Europe" means the UK we,ll have to see.

Yours will run rings around a V6 with or without an auto box and use half the fuel while doing it. Until we can get juice for about 44p a litre I won't bother with one :P

Does this mean we will be able to get the 7 seat version aswell ?.

Apparently, this is the reason the V6 is being introduced to accomadate the 7 seater ( longer version) of the Rav4. Hyundia are frightening Toyota to death with sales of the "new" Santa Fe in Europe. Plus Mitsi,s new Overlander is a 7 seater and later in the year they introducing a V6 +a more powerful diesel.

where did you hear that? Did not hear anything as such. We have both Toyota and Hyundai dealerships in Continental europe, and ratio of sales is 10:1 for Rav4 :-)... Santa Fe is nice, but way too expensive...

I wouldnt listen to yenks as their market is completly different. Who in the world would buy V6 Rav4? 300 orders per year? Main problem is resale value, which would be nothing in here...

spwolfx, picked the original thread up on R4W. Just in passing do you work for a Toyota dealer somewhere in Europe, I also see you post on R4W as well.

I would have bought a 7 seater given the option (obviously we in the uk weren't) but it would have to be a diesel. The 7 seater and the 2.2D bothe exist so putting them together wouldn't be hard. Why do we need our uk cars to be 100mm shorter, so that we can't have the 7 seats ?.

...as long as they don't force everyone to get 7 seats! I'm happy with 5.

Probably right , about the Landcruiser, but look at all the new models coming out from other manufacturers, they're mostly now 7 seaters for the same price as the Rav.
