I've a 97 6 seater picnic but the missus is a child minder and we could do with another seat. We've spent money converting it to lpg and if possible i'd like to avoid going to the bother of changing the whole car if i can help it. Has anyone swapped the 2 middle seats for the middle row from a 7 seater picnic? If not does anyone know if the 7 seaters use the same mounting points for the middle row. Anyone got a 7 seater that could take a picture of how they are fitted

Welcome to TOC

I would think that converting it from the standard configuration would invalidate your insurance.

BTW did you notify your insurance company when you converted to LPG? ..............and did it affect the premium?

Ta for the reply, actually bought a seat alhambra yesterday so it doesnt matter now anyway :D The insurance company just wanted a copy of the installers official certificate and it didn't make any noticeable difference - maybe 20-30 quid.

I hope that you recovered your investment on the trade in

Got absolutely hammered on the trade in so decided to sell it to my mate for the same price as the dealer offered so he'll not make any profit on it. :) Should really have bunged a few extra quid on it but it's good for my karmic balance ;)
