Handbrake Light Constatnly On.

Hi all,

When I first picked up this GEN4 ST162 a few months back the handbrake light would come on during driving (only during cornering or going around long bends)

Had my rear wheels balanaced up and swapped to the front in an attempt to iron out some vibrations I have been noticing when going over 40mph (balancing etc) Had tracking done recently also.

Anyway, after have the rears swapped to fronts the steering wheel is partially misaligned, no big deal as tracking is fine just needs to be taken of and realigned.

The problem is the handbrake light is now constatnly on????

Any ideas where I should check???

TIA

Mine did this for a while when i first got her. Stopped last year, and this morning reminded me how annoying that light is on the dash while driveing!

I noticed that if you pull the handbrake up the light becomes brighter, so i'm thinking its a faulty sensor?

I suspected it might be a fulaty sensor, the amount of dirt built up over the years could do with some cleaning.

Ill give em all a good clean.

Had new discs and pads within last 4 months, fluid checked recently, will check again though.

Can confirm that the light gets brighter with application of the handbrake itself???

TIA

Guess what, I realised that one of the brake light bulbs was out, replaced it and the lights gone.

So in theory its like a problem indicator 0-:

Whilst were on the topic, had my tyres all rebalanced and swapped from front to back.

Im getting some starange vibrations when I hit 40+ or usually 70+.

Drive shafts? inner C.V joint, anti roll bars.

Its definenetly not shocks, springs or anything of the like.

Help...
