Rad-flush & Coolant Replacement

I am going to flush my radiator and replace the coolant. Does anyone know where I will find the engine block drain tap? Any advice on the procedure would be appreciated. The pick-up is getting very hot (into red) when towing and when driving at 80. The heater doesn't work, there is no difference between the temperature when adjusting the knob from blue to red. I can only assume there is a blockage. The expansion tank is always cold, even when engine is hot..........is this normal? The water in there looks really s****y.

Could also do with knowing capacity of system to buy right amount of coolant, it's a 2.4td 2001 model, think its the ln165.

Many Thanks

Did you find out what was causing the problem? I have a Jap import hilux surf with a 2.oL petrol engine that is doing the exact same thing. I have replaced the water pump, thermostat and flushed the system and still no joy. I have a lot of air in the system. I take the cap off of the rad and let her run to bleed the system, but once I put the cap on I still get very little heat in the cab. When the cap is off I get hot air, but I can't run with the cap off. Altough I am tempted at this point. :D
