Take Those Wheel Trims Off!

If anyone is interested the alloys under the plastic wheel trims look rather nice except for the fact there is a 60mm hole in the centre.

Toyota part number 42603-YY030 is a centre cap that fits the hole perfectly and costs £2.62.

It is a lighter colour than the alloys so I'm going to spray my caps before I fit them.

Thank you. They will be on order tomorrow.

Do you have a pic of them fitted?

Many thanks

I asked the same question at a Toyato Garage last year and was told that they did not sell anything to fill the hole.

I'll order my as soon as possible.

I've got my new centre caps and painted them.

Cost around £11 for caps and £11 for paint.

Caps are Toyota part 42603-YY030

Paint:

Hycote Grey Primer 150ml spray can

Hycote Rover Gunmetal Metallic 150ml spray can

Hycote laquer 150ml can

The caps are not quite the right colour but close enough for me. Someone may be able to get a better match.

Pictures at links below and, yes, I know the car could do with a clean.

Hope this helps

We've just had a demo car turn up at work with caps over the alloys, I thought this was the dealer putting these on as its a demo car, are all Prius's that come with alloys covered with hubcaps?

To be fair i thought Toyota had got it right, at a first glance i didnt realise they had hubcaps covering the alloy, not a bad idea

I understood the reason was because they are actually magnesium alloy and very light but soft. Easy to damage.
