damn this makes my blood boil. why do people do it? sorry to here this buddy.

if it is that deep then yes full bonnet respray. vist a few local reputable body shops and get some quotes. and try to get a feeling for their level of work, if the workshop is full of cheap cars then be aware, if they have somemore prestidgious <SP> makes then chances are they will be ok

Hello Tim 5780

Try to ask around and get some recommendations from people who have used them for there repairs.

Also when you get your Quote make sure they know that you are paying for it and its not an Insurance company claim .

I had some damage on my rear bumper and it cost £80 ( I did not do it ! it happened in a tesco car park)

There are also companies that specialize in minor repairs like yours

Hope it helps

Sorry to hear about your problem. :(

Unfortunately some 5cum think it's funny to vandalise others' property. :censor:

Depending upon how wide the scratch is it might be possible to repair with a special polish. Not sure of any specific products, but there are some like an enhanced cutting paste that 'melt' the paint and blend it across the scratch.

Suggest you investigate this before respray, as a respray is never as good as original paintwork.

Good luck

Sympathies mate.

It's worth finding out who your Toyota dealer uses if they don't have their own paintshop. When the rock hit my bonnet & windscreen after 2 weeks in a new car, I did this & then opted for a full bonnet respray. It was pretty expensive but to be fair it still looks the same as the rest of the car after 2 years.

Had to have the roof of my Avensis resprayed. the Toyota dealer sorted that out and the paint match is very good. About 18 months ago a chap reversed into me 3 times on a garage forecourt. He was elderly and deaf. The front of my car was a mess but a local body shop repaired it and the paint match is perfect; this was not a Toyota dealer. So with a good respray you should not notice any difference in paint colour. Resprays are costly.

I am can sympathise on how you feel about the damage to your car. The yobs of today have no respect for anything. When caught they get let off.
