D-4d Value?

I'm sorry to say that the time has come for the Yaris to go to make way for something bigger.

I'm starting to look around for another motor to part/ex but I have NO IDEA what the Yaris is worth to start negotiations, so some advice or experience would be good please.

It's a 2002 on an '02' plate, gold, 60k, GLS with steel wheels, immac inside with a few minor stone chips on the outside. I'll take the tuning box off of course :!Removed!:

Any ideas?

Thanks, those figures are pretty encouraging!

My mate has suddenly become interested, his daughter is looking for a first car and he likes the mpg figures ... so I may not have to take on a salesman after all

...which is always a good thing.

If you do sell and you're not back on, thanks for all of your help over the time you've been here Dave

Noo don't do it keep the Yaris you know you love the 70 mpg+ :D

Seriously though if you do have to take on a saleman don't let them start all the BS with it's not popular and that now the new models out theres no demand yada yada yada..

When I was looking for a D-4D Yaris (about a year ago) most dealers told me they were as rare as rocking horse !Removed! and nearly everywhere was selling them for over the Parkers price and they werent prepared to budge, Mr T especially.

I'd say you want about 4k part ex and 4.3 private, good luck.

PS What are you thinking of replacing the most excellent Yaris with?

Evening All .... well, the deal is done.

I will be leavin these pages soon after 2yrs and I have to say I'll miss all you baseball cap wearing, neon totting nutters ... I can't say I've understood more than 60% of the posts, but then I'm over 40 ...

Alan and all you other Derv drivers, I wish you well and offer you a little sunshine when you too decide to move on;

Walked into one of these places with acres and acres of used cars .... and actually found something we liked, so we walked miles and miles to the office to talk turkey.

"Have you something to part chop?" Mr Salesman asks then took one look at our '02' plate gold yaris and said £1800.

I got up, walked out, got in the car and started the engine.

Mr Salesman followed me to the car and then said "ohhhh, it's a D-4D ... that's different"

So ... £4k for the Yaris, and an extra £4k for the Golf GT TDi PD 130 :)

The other good news is that there will be a D-4D/MiniD power box on the market soon ... any takers??

Nice one  The PD130s can fairly go, despite the black smoke they churn out!

Take care...

Yeah, because its caused by over-fuelling and you're letting more air in to balance that out.

Anyhow, back on topic...
