If they only took their foot of their brakes so the wheels turn they would have some control!

I was in that situation years ago in a van while on a bend heading towards a parked car.

The last thing you want to do is take your foot off the brake, it goes against all your instincts, but I did. The wheels regained traction and I could steer away from the parked car.

ABS traction control and ESP etc weren’t around then :D
