Hi.. I am looking for some information and some parts.. if anyone can help on either I would be appreciative!!

Firstly i am trying to find out if a 2.0 ltr double ovedrhead cam engine from the 2.o gt, will fit in to my TA40 and how difficult it would be??? Tied with that if it is possible i would like to know if anyone has an engine available.

secondly I am looking for a good condition black interior for my TA40.. again if anyone can help, it would assist me with my project.

Clint, The 18rg (2.0gt engine) can be put into a TA40 quite easily if you have all the parts.

1.Engine 18rg - not that easy to find now.

2.Gearbox W50 or P51- shouldn't have a problem finding W50,P51 is a differant story.

3.Engine and gearbox mounts from RA28 or RA40.

4.RA28 OR RA40 radiator.

That's the majority of what you will require to do this transplant.

Personally if I had a TA40 I would be looking to find a 2TG (1600 twincam) if I wanted a twin cam, basically just an engine change with no mucking about, job done in a few hours. If you can find one that is!!!!!!

Hi Clint, we have a full interior in black from a 1980 liftback - with the dash, boot panels etc. It's located in South Wales and in very good condition except that the carpets have faded.
