Yaris Engine Sounding Different!

Just picked up my Yaris after having the clutch replaced and the engine is sounding decidedly different - more so after changing low gears, it sounds very throaty, almost like a souped up car sound....very gutterall. Any ideas? Exhaust? I'll ring the garage tomorrow to have a chat, but in the meantime if anyone has any suggestions that would be good.

They shouldnt have needed to, but maybe they disconnected the downpipe on your exhaust from the manifold to gain access to the gearbox. If this is the case they might not have replaced it properly which could be the cause of the noise. Just an idea

Thanks - I took it back to the garage today and fortunately they've got a real 'expert' down in toyota cardiff who looked at the engine and noticed one of the brackets was touching something it shouldn't - he corrected it and then we took it for a run. Sounds a lot better.
