Might sound like a stupid question but do you have an uprated Air induction kit fitted? Mine whistles a bit too but that's cus of the Air flow blowing over the filter.

might not be the same issue but it's worth a shot.

Not the same car but I have an HKS cold air intake on mine that makes a sucking whistley noise at certain points in the rev range, it's nearly always the intake so make that your start point but don't neglect checking your belts, just in case.
