Door Speakers Not Working / Remote Locking / Armrest?

Hi There.

Recently bought a 2004 Toyota Yaris (Im only 17 - first car! =] ) The two door Speakers wernt working. I got it from a dealership, who cut a bit off as a result, although said they hadnt looked into the problem. The two dash Speakers are fine, so i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem/a solution that saves me buying new Speakers.

I noticed theres a balance option on the controls, however, only to select betweem left/right speakers, i couldnt find a fade option to select between the front/rear speakers.

Any help would be greatly appeciated.

Im also looking into having central locking installed, along with an armrest. Just wondering if anyone could recommend any.

I'm afraid to tell you in a standard T2 you don't have door Speakers! Only 2 dash ones as bottom spec :) Better off looking for a set of aftermarket ones which if you search on this site you will find lots of information about fitment Arm rest wise i'm not sure and central locking kits all depend if you have a good auto electrician to hand. If not standard toyota one worth looking for on eBay!

That’s right; the T2 only has 2 Speakers and a cassette player.

I would be a bit wary of a dealerthat didnt know the speaker layout.Another yts salesman?

It is a T2, although has a Toyota CD Player installed at the bottom of the dash =]

Theres certinally two Speakers on the door, or at least, two openings on the door panelling?

Use the guides on here to tack off the door Speakers (under changing door Speakers guide) This will let you know for sure if there are any there!

If there are Speakers there mate they will have been fitted aftermarket or as an optional extra!
