Bigger Rear Window Wiper

It started to really annoy me that the rear window get's dirty very fast and you have this dwarf rear wiper to create a little hole to the world behind you.

I replaced the 12" for a 16"

Its worse on UK RHD cars because the wiper isn't swapped round to sweep the other way. On motorways you can see the hard shoulder really well, but can't see the cars in the middle/outside lanes. Good tip to put on a larger blade though.

yeah i know what you mean. if i get an aygo again i will definatly get a larger wiper on the rear, the front is spot on but the back window wiper is a bit lame

Don't notice a problem with my standard wiper's on LHD.

i replaced mine with a 16" but tbh it really dosnt do anything, it seems like the extra length doesnt come into contact with the back window so it doesnt clean any extra..

i put a boosh SP 16 on i pretty sure its on correct but yea im abit of a newb to anything car related.

Matty - I replaced the rear wiper with a Bosch 16" too, much better, cleans much more effectively on the return (downward) sweep as can miss the edges on the outward sweep - if that makes sense!

Anyone tried that windscreen treatment stuff so you needn't use the wipers so much? I've got some but yet to put it on as it seems a bit of a faff. Was thinking it wouldn't be much use on the rear anyway as the wind is needed to clear the drops away. Just though it might help with the mucky rear end problem - so to speak..

Bought the 16" but have to say clears just the same amount of screen as the standard issue, to try and solve it i tried to bend a slight curve in the wiper but ended up just snapping it. Putting the old one back on this weekend.

As for the 'windscreen clear' stuff you can put on, had it on my last car but didnt like it, it certainly works but is only good for fairly dry climate where you dont get much rain, being in the west of scotland doesnt qualify for this so had to use my wipers just as much, should be better on the rear screen though.

Hi , after a bit of investigation and been told by a motor factor you wont find a bigger rear blade for an Aygo !!! ..as I like challenged I found one !!

Its available from Halfords, their own brand ( 16" (400mm) W22 Rear wiper ) cost approx £6 fits perfectly.

Bosch list one but its not available at Halfords so I haven't tried that model.

W22 is Used on a Citroen C5 hatchback 03-04, Peugeot 306 3/5 doors 01/99 onwards etc etc

It also wipes the whole 16" of Aygo glass perfectly ..even with the top curve of the rear window.
