Opinions On This "trd" Spoiler For Gen 7!

Hi every1....I'm a new here or "newbie" as i've seen so many ppl write on here lol!

Anyway...jus got a beautiful Gen 7 Premium Pack 140bhp Celica 2 weeks ago and am so desperate to get a TRD spoiler on the back, but the authentic TRD spoiler costs WAY too much.

Any1 know where to get a cheap 1 from or what do people think of this imitation?

Just my opinion but I think that spoiler is a bit OTT myself, no doubt there will be some that like it

There are plenty of cheapo spoilers on fleabay if you look ;)

Yes, the TRD Spoiler is niiiice.... :D For £89, expect it to not fit very well without modifying it, so either DIY if you like sanding or fibre-glassing and have the time, or spending a bit more at the body shop when you have it sprayed and fitted. If I were you, I'd probably get a quote from your local body shop on mod, fitment and spray costs, then check with your local Toyota Garage how much an 'official' one would be for the same thing. I have a sneaky suspicion that the prices may not be that different....

Hmm thats weird, I would've thought if a car part has been designed for a certain car then it'd fit perfectly...its not as if its a universal spoiler to fit any car!

I'll take ur word for it tho mate, i read a lot of the forum yesterday and it seems like you definately know what your goin on about!

I love the spoiler tho, rly want that in my rear view mirror!

Yeah, it'd be nice if things were that simple! Sadly though, from limited experience, and what I've read a thousand times, it generally isn't the case. It would seem that replica kit isn't quite the perfect replica you'd want. You may get lucky on the fitment from this particular repli-kit seller (and if you do, let me know, as I may well be tempted!), so if thats what you want go for it! But its better you go in with your eyes open than get the part and be disappointed.

Another option, ask the company selling them if it is a guarenteed perfect fit (along with promise of free return if its not) and get it in writing of some kind. That way, if it isn't and you don't have the cash for the slight modification as well as spraying and fitting, you can send it back for a full refund...

He's maybe looking to flog a TRD style spoiler with brake light, so you might want to drop him a line see if you can come to some kind of agreement...?
