Hey guys im new to this but it looks like it could help me alot!

I have a Corolla GL 1.3 1992 Hatchback EE90 that i drive everyday. The engines has done nearly 150,000miles and is gettin sluggish.I also have a corolla gti in the garage that isn't exactly running..... it was crashed at the back and has a bent cassis i think!

Well my question is would it be hard to put the 4age engine from my gti into my GL??

The engine mount on d Top left seems to be further back on d GL

you would need to swap the mounts over and use the loom, ecu and fuel system from the GTi but yes the swap can be done, the seats and most of the interior should fit too incl the dash but again you would need to use the wiring from the GTi

hi ... i'm actually doing the same conversion myself.. like you say the only thing that is different is the left hand engine mount .. just for yor info.. go ahead mate do it ,, the best thing about your job is that you have a gti front end complete ,, i have all mine in bits .. your engine will drop straight in ,, keep the drive shafts and change the front hubs to gti hubs .. you will have to change all the loom,, and the best thing about it is take the speedo cluster out of the gti and it will go straight into the gl dash only thing is moving the stereo down instead of leaving it at the top .. and the seats will go straight in as well .. damn .. you got a corolla gti saloon... get it read for jae 2008 and i'll see u there with mine ..

regards jay
