Computer Diagnostic Check

Hi,

Have a rough idle problem after Fuel Injectors being cleaned. The turkeys who did it won't admit to the problem.

Have increased idle...certainly better, but something still wrong. Too rough when idling warm.

Was as smooth as butter.

Car is a Starlet (1997), 105000kms, auto (Australia).

Question: Are computer diagnostic checks money down the drain or Will a diagnostic check on the computer really help to sort out the problem, or at best only give a rough guideline?

2nd Q: Approx what do "full" diag checks cost?

Last Q: Do these small cars (1.3L) statistically last much beyond 100K anyway, before constant problems become a headache?

Many thanks,

JB

find out if your car has a self learning ecu if so you will need to reset it (starlet club may help with this). it can be a common problem after having injectors cleaned as if they were sticking or blocked then now they will flow less or more fuel. if not then take it to another garage and get them to give you a report
