just e-mailed the company i bought the wheels off asking them to check the fitment and they came back with this.

'The type v are 6.5x15 4x100 et38 the 195/45/15 tyres are nearly the same rolling

radius as the o/e tyres'

does that sound right to all the technical ppl?

The wheels should fit fine.

6.5 = wheel width - good

4 X 100 = 4 stud holes arranged in a 100 mm circle from the wheel centre - good

et 38 = this is where the wheel will sit in relation to the bodyline of the vehicle, realistically you can go 5-7mm outside these recommendations and Aygo should be 37 so it's within tolerance. et is the short form of the German word 'Einpresstiefe' which literally translates as 'insertion depth'

same rolling radius as o/e tyres - o/e = original equipment - not strictly true this as the 195/45/15 tyre fitted will mean that when you are travelling at an indicated 70 mph you will actually be moving at 69.92 mph. It's a small change though and not noticeable.

HTH

Edit:

Just noticed they said 'nearly the same as oe' so in fairness they are actually right.
