Fantastic News On My Faulty Aygo!

Hi everyone I just want to say, thanks for all your advice and contributions on my faulty aygo story.

The saga finally ends.

Here is a breif description;

i had an app at 9.30 at toyota with the manager and he saw me at 10.30 and he was saying NO to a refund and a replacement car will take 6-12months to get me. If i wanted the same one one brand new i would have to pay the difference! and he was like- i am bending over backwards here for you Miss Creed. I shouted saying no you are not, you have to do this anyway so don't come give me all that. I just burst out crying and shouted i am so sick of all this! and he said you know what Miss Creed so am i, You can have your money back then we will both be happy! and he walked off.

I was confused at first and lots of people came over to calm me down then a sales person said why don't i have a drive in it and i said no way. So we agreed i would be a passenger and the mechanic who fixed my car would drive me.

We went on a 20min drive and it was so powerful with no funny noises. The whole engine and cat has been replaced and a sensor- it was the sensor that had caused the problems.

I have told them i will think about my options over the weekend and let them know. I think i will have my money back, which means i will not be a member of TOC anymore.

It is a lovely car and whoever purchases it will be best pleased.

I wish everyone happy fun driving- i will always have a soft spot for the aygo sport!

Sounds like you're still in love with that car but Good Luck with whatever you go for. Let us know.

Your money back probably would not include the first registration fee and the road tax paid.

Did they offer you any form of compensation for your stress and inconvenience?

Extended warranty and free servicing for six years would be a good start and should put your mind at rest and restore your faith in Toyota.

If this was offered why should you not keep your Aygo?

well, if i am honest, i am abit undecided whether to keep the car or not. The only thing they have offered me is window tints?!?!?

I would keep it!!

You now have the opportunity to have the car you originally chose, ordered, and paid for, thoroughly checked out and rebuilt, with all the bits and pieces you wanted in it...did you ever sort out that matter of the missing "carpet" in the boot?...and you dont have to go through the stressful procedure of buying another car and possibly having it's engine light go on as you drive off the forecourt on your first outing!

You correct... keep the car Lucie but make sure you get something more than just window tints for compensaion! the subwoofer would make me keep it for sure He He......
