Automatic Traffic Announcement Volume Setting

Just a quickie, in a manner of speaking.

Does anyone with the integrated Sat Nav / Audio (XT5 or T180) know how I can adjust the volume setting for when traffic announcements come on?

Keep jumping out of my skin as the volume automatically raises, but I'd like it a tad quieter if anyone knows how.

The handbook isn't particularly clear on the matter.

Do you mean the sat nav voice ? If so press menu to the left of the screen then select volume (top row middle) options are 1 to 6 (I think) pressing any of them gives an indication of the volume).

There is another option if you press audio Botom of screen little round button. Then select ASL on screen icon, the level can then be set here.

Don't suppose you know how to store a voice tag against the phone number?

If you set the volume with the vol control knob whilst a TA is being announced, that is the volume it will be played at next time one comes on. I' not sure if this is the only way of setting it, but I know it works.

Thanks for that - It was the Traffic Announcement volume I was asking about rather than the 'Awfully Posh' Sat Nav lady's volume!!

I'll probably have to wait weeks now before I get another Traffic Announcement so I can adjust the volume!!
