My wife was a little late for her work this evening, so after having parked her car in the carpark, she started running to work... and her key's (car keys.. MR2 and Yaris.. and house keys) fell out of her pocket.. now that in itself would be ok, just pick them up and keep running.. yes?.. NO!!.. you see, when my wife does things, sometimes she does them right.. she had to drop them down a drain.. a drain that is full.

So.. Looks like I have to go to the airport with the spare key for her car so she can get home tomorrow morning.

Got the keys back... one of her work mates fished them out of the drain with a pole... just hope the keyfob for the MR2 still works.

Ah, that's pockets for you though........

What you should think of doing is this.

Just like when you were at primary school with your mittens on a long piece of string inside your sleeves.......do the same with the keys when your wife goes out with them .

Fingers crossed for the MR2 keyfob. If it opens, then open it up, dry any visible water with a cloth/paper towel etc. Then, put it somewhere warm - or use a hair dryer and a gentle heat. This should thoroughly dry things out before corrosion/damage sets in.
