:toast: Hi I just had to come back in here and thank everyone for the advise about my 2001 Corolla

I found this website by accident, but I'm so glad I did, I was at my wits end. My car was running so bad, I wanted to cry. (believe me my car is a big part of my life) but I came here and started reading about all these people who were having the same problem. :D  my mechanic had all but given up on my car,

I had all the symptoms, engine running crappy, :help: check engine lite, terrible gas mileage, my mechanic did the test P171 fuel running to lean, you all know.! ;) but in this forum I read what everyone was telling about how they fixed their problem, so I printed it all out took it to my mechanic we read it togother and together we fixed my car.

Two screws and the maf sencsor was off, Oh and there is a plug you have to unhook, like unhooking a cable from your computer, they also make a spray cleaner especially for cleaning Mafs, we took it off and sprayed it through and through and put it back on, LET ME TELL YOU HOW HAPPY I WAS :yahoo:

mY CAR WENT FROM barely moving to 0 2 60 in a matter of seconds. it was like driving a new car, I'm so happy. :D I rest set my engine lite and it hasn't come back on.

JUST WANT TO SAY AGAIN A GREAT BIG THANK YOU FOR THE INFO.

Stella in California Ps. I didn't realize until later that some of the post went back to 2004

Thanks very much for the appreciation - that's one of the reasons this site exists. Come back soon
