Is the black stuff watery or thick?

The internal combustion engine can create a gallon of water for every gallon of petrol used. It takes quite a while to get an exhaust up to running temperature (that’s why they go rusty and we have to buy new ones), so while it is good to run an engine up once in a while you would never reach its optimum temperature, also when stood for long periods after running it is possible for oil to get pasts slightly worn valve seals and guides making oil build up in the exhaust system inevitable.

Carbon/condensation build up in the exhaust caused by constant running on tick over can also chuck out some nice black stuff.

As long as there are no signs of water in the oil, oil in the water or heavy breathing (not that kind :P ) I wouldn’t worry.

If you are not going to use it for a long time it is better if possible to actually move the car at the same time, this will stop seals from drying or sticking and also stop the tyres from flat spotting.

(as D B E said the siggy is Waaaay too big (make it smaller please ;) ))
