Annoying Rattling Noise

I have the Rav4 Granite 2005.

For several months I have had an annoying rattling noise coming from the back of the vehicle :ffs:

I use the vehicle to carry tools and work is always a first priority, so never made time to trace where a very annoying rattle was coming from although it always seemed to be coming from the rear.

After months of inaction this weekend I removed everything removable from the rear including seats, and it still rattled.

I then pushed the roof lining up and the noise stopped I did not have time to go into main dealers so I removed the interior light which is over the drivers head and pulled the lining down slightly, with the help of a torch and a second person I could see the only loose part was the cable to the interior light, with help and Duck Tape I stuck down the loose cable and now all is well.

I have spoken to another Rav owner he had the same problem!!

It is only a small cable but the knocking on the roof lining sounds quite loud.

So if you have the same annoying noise try the cure!!

If Toyota Engineers read this please 'Sort it out'

This is the only fault after 20000 miles not bad!!
