Hi All,

My girfriend needs a new car so she's going to take my T-sport, and I'm trying to source a T-sport Turbo on import.

Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to get my hands on one?

Thanks,

TIm

as far as i know, you can import them as it has exactly the same chassis and engine bar the turbo, so you could probably import one.

Didnt someone say they are not available to import due to their not being an SVA test for a Vitz Turbo?

I think what they mean is that there's not a model report for the vehicle. That in itself does not exclude a vehicle from being "importable", it just means that the vehicle will have to go through a "proper" SVA test at a VOSA test centre. This takes time and - thus - expense. Whether you think its worth it depends on the vehicle and how keen the importer is to own it...

More information is available here.

I have a 2002 1.5 Vitz RS which I purchased in the UK unregistered, bare in mind that to use a model report it has to be for the exact model being tested model, engine No, CC rating, ect ect, I had the car tested for noise and emmissions which is what needs to done for a model report, this is now on the DVLA web site, the total cost for the report was £2300 what you have to worry about is if the car does not pass either noise or the emmissions you still have to pay for the test, I was lucky as the vitz had only done 24000 kilometers with full jap sevice history, the people who carried out the tesing have told me they have had a number of Vitz models and all have failed the emmissions
