Replacing Dash Led's

Hi There

I was wondering, theres green LEDs or bulbs (im not sure which?) behind the dash, to provide light for the heater/radio/cd controls when the cars headlights are one. I was thinking of maybe replacing these with red ones, although im not sure if thats possible. I read the tutorials on removing the fascia, but havnt done it yet. Would it be possible to replace these lights, with more or less a straight swop?

Thanks!

Dave

you can't change the bulbs because of the way they are fixed. They are fixed to a little round piece of plastic that twists to remove.

On my previous car I took the bulbs out and glued blue LED's in, but this was not the best of idea's as the wiring limited me to how far I could take the dash apart.

Try a search on the net, but I bought some blue covers to go over the bulbs. The bulbs I think are 5mm so you need 5mm covers and they cost about 40p each.

If I can find the link i'll post it, but at the moment I don't think I have it.

The bulbs for headlights on, handbrake on etc are available from Mr.T and are solid items (enclosed in a plastic base) they are clear as far as im aware, so painting them may help.

Have a look here as painted bulbs doesn't look to bad plus it also tells you the correct bulbs if you want to order some coloured ones - wont let me link the site :(

Search for yaris club uk .com and look in the "how to's"
