It's Driving Me Nuts!

Hi all

My mate got him slef a P reg ST202 a lot like mine. I went to test drive it and found that there is a rattle sound from the engine bay when I roar up to 5K rpm. Sometimes on and off even after warm up. I thought it might be the downpipe heat shiled plat loose but it's not. I've been round the engine bay tigntening up all the loose bits that may rattle but I can't figure it out!

Any ideas? Anything to worry about?

exhaust manifold??

As in the actual manifold under the heat shield? Shall I take off the heat shield and tighten up the bolts which holds the manafold down?

Yep where it bolts to the cylinder head under the heatshield.

We took off the heat shield and checked all the bots and they're solid. We thought it was the lower part of the heat shiled so when putting it back we made sure they're tight tool. Still no luck. Any other ideas? It's like a small humming rattle at the higher end.
