does anyone know a detailed step by step method of removing the cluster from the dash? Thanks...

oh and also does anyone know where to get celica rear led lights in the uk models 921, 7440 and 7443? Will this result in the celica reporting a blown bulb due the low power drain and need a reisitor to fix or do they go right on??? Thanks for the help

Hey and welcome along! By cluster, do you mean the dials, or the central console? And no idea on the lights I'm afraid....

Hi Guys and thanks for the warm welcome.....

im sorry i should of been more clear....

2 different topics here......the first was the removal of the dials cluster. I want to upgrade the frame with a brushed metal frame over the the standard black one. I just wanted some steps to help me get the thing off without sitting there for ages working out.

The second was the fact i have bouth some altezza generation 3 tail lights which will need some input on.....i have installed them ok but have noticed that the amber indicater bulb and the brake bulb share the same afterburner socket. So as you can imagine, the clear bulbs i have in there just show red. Red for braking and red for indicating. I wanted a set of coloured bulbs that were brighter than standard clear ones but the fittings are a bit wierd. I had done research and found that the rear tail light bulbs are the following types...

Brake - 7443 Bulb

Indicator - 7440 Bulb

Reverse - 921 Bulb

now im guessing these are US versions but looking online they do exist and are the right desription such as the fact they are wedge plugs and not screw in ones.

What i wanted to know is that if i buy replacement LED bulbs does the celica have auto detect "blown bulb" on the car because the LED lights are so low power cars with that feature will auto detect that the bulb has blown even tho its not. You need to do something with a resistor or something before the light is installed but again i need help from people to clarify this with me.

Hope this a bit more clear than before and appreciate any help...

thanks again

Keri
