Help Needed

we just finished fitting kits engine into my car today,it started first time,then after a few mins cut out,and kept doing so. whenever open the throttle the car dies,any ideas guys? its driving me mad as i thought that was all the problems over and done with :ffs:

Do the revs rise at all as you open the throttle, and can you cokes the revs up a bit by opening the throttle very slowly? Then as the revs build does it start spluttering then die?

If so check the throttle position sensor.

the car improved a bit when i took my induction kit off and replaced the air box. we think its the fuel regulator or fuel rail,think thats what its called. going to replace the parts with bits from my old engine

Have you ran a diagnostic on it?

The engine did have problems when we were doing the 'Laurel and Hardy put the car on the trailer' sketch. HOWEVER - prior to this it had been fine. It had just been parked for a month or so without moving. Don't know if this sheds any more light on it for anyone though.

ill never forget how cold i was trying to get that car on the trailer!! the engine seems to be running fine now.changed the fuel regulator.

im still having problems with my engine,it keeps cutting out when i slow down at lights etc and when i accelerate the car doesnt respond for a few secs. we thought maybe fuel filter? any ideas would be great guys
