i signed up with customs and excise the other day , im ok now to use svo in my surf mixed with derv. At 50 p a litre its a good saving.Anyone using svo without registering needs to consider the risks of being caught or grassed up.

my surf runs great on a mix of 60/40 derv/svo , now the cold weather has gone it starts up just like when on derv straight through.

anyone not tried it yet should really sign up and start using it.

The HMC changed the rules earlier this year, so that you can use up to 2500 ltrs per year without having to register, you do need to keep records/receipts for 6 years for any SVO that is used.

Hi All

Im in the process of buying a 3.0 surf, can you tell me which of the engine variants and year will run on veg oil. I understand that some of the later more advanced engines do not like veg and will not even run on a twin tank system. can any one point me in the right direction.

Cheers
