Raer Generation Celica Altezza Carbon Lights

Hi all.

just a silly question really....i think ive found uot the hard way after ordering from america a set of these lights. They are amazing quality and look for the money but one problem, since the brake light and the indicator light both share same red afterburner casing - you guessed it, all im getting is red indication along with red braking.

I bought a pair of coloured indicators but again.......im getting red lights showing outside of the red casing. The reverse however is ok and shows bright white.

I wanted to know if there is anything possible other than cutting the hell out of the rear lights to get an amber light working? (ie getting reverse light and indicator to share the casing instead of the brake case)

Let me know if anyones modded something like this before so i know before i get stopped by the coppers.....

whats with the americans anyways....dont they indicate over there???

Any help appreciated thanks!!!

I'd be very wary about modding US light pods, mainly because they don't really conform with UK lighting laws.

But, do you have a picture of the light so if there is an easy way around this we can see it.

Hi,

hopefully this pic will show u the ones ive got...my only option that i see fit, is to somehow wire up so both the reverse and indicator bulb share the bottom clear cluster. The method tho how im gona do it will be what will be the mission.

Any ideas welcome......thanks again

What will that do if they both share the same red cluster. The brake light and the indicator light both attach to the main brake cluster. The only one seperated is the reverse light but a chap gave me a nice tutorial on how to mod the clusters making the reverse light shared with the indicator lights.

Will post the link if you guys need to see this mod its pretty awesome

Defo use the clear reverse cluster and put an orange bulb in. The only problem you'll have then is if you need to reverse and indicate at the same time (like reverse parking or using hazards) it'll show white with orange flashes in the same cluster, could be an MOT fail?

Hi all,

need help again...

ive just noticed something in the help diagrams that are not listed in detail the actual step which has been taken to pull the wiring off.

The celica has its standard wiring plugs which lead to the acual bulb plugs but in this picture there seems to some kind of electrical patch up done which has resulted in a wierd rewired system with an additional electrical wire clamp in the middle of the wiring.

Can anyone fill me in whats going on here? Or if anyone has done anything like this before can they give me a helping hand.....to what the procedure for the wiring process is....

oh and also where to buy that extension unit for the amber wedge bulb plug? The one again in the picture looks like its been imported from the far east.

Any help appreciated

PS

The walkthru is found here...... http://plaza.umin.ac.jp/~satoshi/mod05Sen.html

Thanks again
