Found this on Evo Magazine, they dont rate it much do they?

http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarrevi...la_t_sport.html

I just cant believe there is an internet forum with people admitting to own CTS's......do they not come with a brown paper bag so you cant be seen driving them. i know i would expect one.

Says the guy who owns a rav 4 DIESEL grandad machine!! I'd rather wire balls upto the national grid than drive a mini me chelsea tractor

I don't quite get what you're trying to do....

Are you trying to make us all sell our Corollas and buy Clios? That isn't going to happen, as I pointed out before I, like everyone else I expect, would have bought a Clio if I wanted one. I don't want a Clio in the slightest, if I was given one tomorrow I would sell it.

Are you trying to make us all annoyed that we've spend thousands on a rubbish car? Again, that isn't going to happen, because I highly doubt anyone really cares if you think a CTS is rubbish and a Clio is the Mutt's nuts.

At the end of the day, all cars are compromises. Clio 172/182s are better than CTSs in some ways, CTSs are better than Clio 172/182s in some ways. We've all decided what we want in a car and bought accordingly, you've done the same.

When I bought my CTS I was looking for a fairly quick, practical hatch that wasn't too expensive to run. I very nearly bought a 2.0 Focus (normal 2.0, not ST170), but then found I could have a significantly faster, better equipped Corolla that cost about the same to run. I never even considered buying a Clio.

Do you go on Elise forums telling them their cars are rubbish 'cause they're so impractical? Or on Land Rover forums telling them you'd dust them round a track?

I just don't understand what you're trying to acheive.

I think the responses were mainly prompted by the original post, which did have the definite air of bodykitted 1.2 corsa chavdom about it, rather than aiming to bash the CTS or any other toyota for that matter. Like you say, we all have our own preferences and opinions when it comes to cars. It would be pretty boring if everyone drove the same car!

Yeah.... The... ermmmm.... lack of grammar in the first posts doesn't exactly give a good impression. :!Removed!:

thing with them reviews is they go from toyota figures, we all know 0-60 is low 7's some been timed at 7.2 if im correct ?

also they compare the cts to the likes of the golf gti and type r etc. when them type cars have bigger engine , have turbo's , cost more etc and they dont mention our car aint far behind them if not on par with speed wise, so what if it takes some coil overs and strut brace to help get the handling in the same league or near abouts, doesnt cost a lot. they also dont mention the gap in the insurence groups and running costs.

as for the clio debate i dont care what anyone says i will make my mind up whitch car is superior when i come face to face with one :) we may have a old mans car, but its better than having a hairdressers car :)

well put!

i have edited out the motorway and replace with private road as i know some people on here are funny about these things. :D

our car is only crap in one department and that is handling

---when my t sport was actually working i had a little run in with a friend of mines clio172. on a rolling start i kept up but he was always pulling on me. mines standard he has a induction kit and a cat back exhaust. (we did this on a private road btw).

when i say our car is faster at top end i dont mean we fly pass it we just edge in front very slowly cos thats where our extra horsepower comes in play and yes our car will hit more than 140 make sure you use superunleaded the cts love that stuff.
