Passenger Side Wing Mirror

Hi!

New here and I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place! (feel free to shift me!!)

Some delightful drunken chav kicked my wing mirror off the other night. Electric one too. I've managed to get hold of another one but I was wondering how easy they are to fit? Can I do it mysel? The Toyota garage near me wants 50 quid just to say hello!!

I've got an 01 Toyota Corolla vvTI...

Any help greatly appreciated as we need to drive to Bristol from Folkestone soon and I don't fancy doing it without a mirror!!

If they are anything like an Avensis or Carina E it is relatively straightforward. You will probably need to remove the inner door panel to gain access to the wiring connector. These are usually held on with plastic clips which unscrew/prise off.

There will also be an inner trim where the mirror is located. This will just unclip. There will only be a couple of bolts (if that) securing the unit to the door structure from the inside.

If you lack the skills/confidence, any reputable garage can safely tackle something like this for 1/2hr labour.
